Who doesn’t love a good party? That was the thought of Sarah Combs, a native Texan who recently decided to make her passion her profession and launch her own business. Now Sarah Combs Events is among the newest event planning and styling businesses based in Dallas. And what better way for an event planner to share the news about her recent start-up than to host a celebration for everyone to attend?

This launch party will be an opportunity to meet Sarah Combs, find out more about her passion and see how she can put that passion to work at your next event and make it truly unforgettable and stress-free. It will take place on Thursday, August 11th, 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., at NOAH’S Event Venue in Plano located at 5280 Towne Square Dr. A come and go affair, the event will feature local vendors who are woman-owned companies just like Sarah Combs Events. Briana of Sweet Bri’s Bakery, which was highlighted on the Food Network during the 2015 holiday season, will be onsite. Stephanie O’Quin, owner of The Pearl Petal Floral Design, who while living abroad learned from renowned Italian wedding designer Martina Trombacco, also will be present. Additionally, local photographer and owner Aubree Edwards of AE Photography® will be there to capture highlights of the event and answer questions about her work as well. Attendees will enjoy iced lattés catered by Lattes On Location, a photo booth and the chance to win a special prize give-away.

The launch of this business is a dream Combs has had for some time and is close to her heart. Committed to crafting a uniquely memorable experience for each occasion, Combs realizes that allowing her to manage the invaluable details of a personal occasion or a significant corporate event requires a great deal of trust.

“I take the time to hear from clients one-on-one and let them describe what they are envisioning as the very first step in the process during a complementary consultation. I have an insatiable desire to create tailored experiences and aesthetically charming settings, and I genuinely enjoy all the steps involved,” said Combs. “It’s an adventure for me to go to great lengths for my clients and search for those dramatic, eye-catching pieces that will leave a lasting impression. Those are the crucial details that enhance and accentuate any event.”

Once a client determines that Combs is the best fit for his/her needs, Combs prepares a master plan for the event, which includes budget development, vendor selection and supervision over the entire event. What sets Combs apart from some other event planning companies is the way she designs everything from the mailed invitations to the tablescape and layout of the event onsite. That way a perfectly cohesive theme and color scheme is represented throughout the occasion.

At the heart of her mission with Sarah Combs Events is Combs’ desire to see people enjoy life. Her work centers on “making a room come to life,” as she puts it. With just the right touch and attention to detail, she creates a picture perfect event setting, and ultimately, the most rewarding part for her is witnessing people’s expressions when they arrive.

“I love seeing clients’ faces light up when their vision for a special occasion is actualized,” described Combs. “When they walk in for the first time and see the venue decorated and the theme perfectly incorporated throughout, that’s the moment that I work toward. The way they and their guests walk around in awe noticing all the little elements I’ve brought together is what drives me to do this.”

Combs earned her degree in graphic design and marketing at Oklahoma Christian University but gained extensive skills for event planning through an internship and realized that was her true love. Her innate talent and flair for decorating onsite at events began as just a hobby for friends but quickly put her in high demand. Already Combs’ calendar has started filling up with events such as baby showers, a wedding rehearsal dinner, and possibly the one she is most thrilled to plan – this upcoming launch party to announce her own business.

“My husband skeptically asked me if my launch party event was just another excuse to plan yet another party,” said Combs smiling. “I simply reminded him, ‘Yes – that is kind of what I do.’”
